The Icehotel in Sweden has been an experimental platform where structural properties of ice and snow have been studied for over 35 years.

There is something remarkable about snow that lends it self to be shaped by human hands. Have you ever pressed handfuls of fresh dry snow into a snowball but failed? Then you may be aware that snow can behave in mysterious ways.

Water is perhaps the most studied, yet poorly understood, substance on Earth.

Daniel Rosenbaum studied Design at the University of NSW in Sydney Australia. He was drawn to the Swedish Arctic where he met a fascinating team of builders and ice artists who build the Icehotel.

This Ice Sculpture Gallery covers five winter seasons and includes sculptures and interior designs made from a combination of hard packed snow and clear river ice, harvested from a near by river in Jukkasjarvi Sweden.

The Garden Pot Workshop is an experimental gardening space that involves growing plants in containers. The workshop aims to encourage human interaction with nature by suggesting creative gardening activities that are based on research into horticultural therapy and greening cities.

The Garden Pot Workshop has a small Sculpture Studio plant nursery that propagates a diverse range of trees and shrubs used specifically for gardening classes.
