Daniel Rosenbaum

Daniel Rosenbaum is a garden designer & sculptor with a background teaching design at university (UTS, UNSW & TAFE). In 2008 Daniel won an international design award for interiors made from ice and snow at the Icehotel in Sweden.

Over the past 5 years Daniel has established a successful plant nursery that sells plants and designer pots to retail nurseries in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. He also runs a Botanic Art sculpture studio that encourages human healing through an increased connection with nature.

Prior to working with plants, between 2008 & 2009 Daniel suffered a series of crippling injuries, that later, coupled with severe anxiety and depression, eventually led to a burnout. During this burnout period Daniel had to take time away from work and social activities but also felt the need to retreat from the noise and fast pace of city life. In a small backyard in Marrickville, Daniel began a unique healing process aided by some simple and gardening activities that allowed for gentle and grounding time for introspection that helped to identify past traumas that required healing.

Since then Daniel has continued research into healing Trauma and greening cities while making major lifestyle changes that involved relocating to a small country town (in Tathra NSW) where he has a regained physical strength, social confidence and now manages this unique Garden Art practice.
