The plant nursery began as a small garden installation created by Daniel Rosenbaum and formed part of post graduate studies at the National Art School in Sydney. The garden was built for experimentation and research into horticultural therapy and greening cities with container gardens.
The nursery later moved to the south coast NSW Tilba Tilba & Tathra (at the former Kangarutha Nursery site).
Daniel later moved the nursery to Sydney where together with his partner Laura Khalil where they expanded the nursery and began a growing diverse range of native tube stock and advanced trees. Both Laura and Daniel studied Horticulture at Ryde TAFE and continue to grow a diverse range of plants and their nursery, now called Diversifolius Nursery.
